Rose had a fight with Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. She won the fight via technical knockout in just 3 minutes after the start of the round. This was the first women to compete against a title champion in any major promotion worldwide. The victory was followed by a resounding win. Namajunas had a string of other victories in which she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC following these victories .
